Guest guest
I found this from a DAN doctors website: 1. "A significant percentage of boys with ASD will have hair loss, a sign of higher than usual testosterone levels. •Behavior deteriorates at times of "growth spurts" which correlated with surges of testosterone (age 7-8, 10-11, 13 to adult) •Nizoral and similar anti-fungal drugs will lower testosterone levels, often improving symptoms. Not sure of connection to yeast. •Higher levels of estrogen correlate with an increase in glutathione production and vice versa. Glutathione is primary detoxifier " 2. (This STUDY on licorice root...came from the Analyst site:) There is a study below showing licorice root may be helpful in lowering testoserone levels.. Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) 17 healthy males between 22 and 24 years of age consumed 7g/day of licorice tablets containing 7.6% glycyrrhizic acid over a 7-day period. On days 4 and 8, serum testosterone levels were decreased by 25%, with an increase in 17-hydroxyprogesterone and luteinizing hormone, and a slight but not significant reduction in free testosterone. [Exp Clin Endocrinol Diabetes. 2003;111: pp.341-343] Extract Lastly .. I'll post more options from the Summary of the Geiers work on High testosterone. Hope that helps, Sue
