Guest guest
Hi, Just saw the posts about trying to help the ADHD symptoms of "autism". My DAN just started my six year old on 50 mg of P5P from Kirkman (tiny capsule, like their ProbioGold probiotic capsule..it is vitamin B-6 of some kind) and 100 MG of Kirkman Buffered Magnesium Glycinate (you can get them combined already...apparently they are meant to work better together than with just the P5P itself....but the combined capsule from Kirkman's is too big and I believe Dr. DeMio said it won't taste good opened up). Some people may get hyper from it...just like if a "normal" person took Ritalin. You up the dose slowly over time until you get those "hyper symptoms" and then back off to where you were before that and that is your child's dose. So, anyways today is our first day (worried the magnesium would cause the "poops" even though this form isn't supposed to do that..so I only gave one mag. with the P5P this morning before school...wouldn't want him to have that problem while he was away from home. I will let everyone in the group know how this goes and if it really helps these symptoms. My son is a super stimmer when left on his own. When he's excited he's "Mr. Happy Flapper" (gotta have some kind of sense of humor about this so I don't crack!) And focus/memory aren't too good for school, so we are trying to help by giving this combination a try. This is my first new protocol to try for hyperactivity other than GABA, which seems to help some too, but not for focus. I'll let everyone know the outcome after about a two week trial. (mom to a very talkative and social Austin diagnosed at age 3 with PDD NOS... has chelated with td dmps and Natural Cellular Defense and is currently on BioCorcuma, probiotics, multi,Omega,CoQ10,Digestive Enzyme, Glutathione Booster Patches, melatonin (at night) and now P5P with Mag. Glycinate) We have never done any diets.(I know, I know!)
