Kidney Acquisition Reimbursement

Good Morning,

Our transplant dept (kidney only) has been reimbursing Medicare

allowable only for pre transplant testing.

It has been recently stated to me that I was not restricted to only

Medicare allowable.

That Medicare allowable is more of a guideline, that there is room for

negotiation. In fact that there is nothing wrong with reimbursing 100%

billed price.

Pleassseeee advise….

Am I breaking any ‘rules’? With either reimbursing

only MC allowable or reimbursing in full?
