Guest guest
Hi all! Well, I've posted about this subject before on GFCFKids, but I need some more advice. We are having very *little* success with potty training Christian. Something is holding him back. He just does not want to pee on the potty. I think he'd rather have pins and needles stuck in him before he'll willingly pee on the potty, and not in his pull-ups. We're slowly increasing his tolerance for underwear. Next week we'll go for 6 hours a day in underwear, rather than just 3 hours a day. He seems to be controlling his movements better in the underwear now, but he'll just so used to his " porta-potty-panties " if you all know what I mean. Is this just due to the fact that this is the routine he's always had? Could it be sensory? Could it REALLY be hurting him to pee? Going " #2 " isn't as much of a problem. I'm banging my head against a brick wall here, and I'd sure like to knock it down! Any advice? Any success stories? Any lessons or trials I could do? Anything relating to ABA/AVB/DTT? How about social stories? HELP!!!!! Thanks! (a mommy who cannot wait to quit cutting Huggies Pull Up coupons!)
