Guest guest
Hi all ~ this is Droze in ton SC. I have totally enjoyed a year off from these lists as my daughter was successfully completing her Kindergarten year in a typical classroom. At our house, this was our year of normal living. However, now that the big 1st grade is looming near .... I know there will be much work to be done. I am refreshed and ready to take on these upcoming challenges I have signed back on to my " lists " and am looking forward to meeting some of the new people and catching up with some of the " more weathered " haha ~ parents and professionals. My daughter is Verity / 7 yrs / diagnosed with Mild Autism at 3yrs. We did a traditional program and she made tremendous gains. She is accademically doing ok now --- I am not sure how she will do with the new types of information presented in 1st grade. In the Kindergarten Class most of the academics had been taught previously in her program and the focus was on group learning and social skills. She is quite charming really and we are crazy about her. I am also a therapist and have had the pleasure of working with a darling little boy for 3 years now. His program is based on the Verbal Behavior approach. So, I have been blessed in my experiences to be exposed to several types of teaching procedures. Will be scouring the archives to pick up where I left off My best to you all, czd@...
