Guest guest
Yes, I do all my billing on paper with CMS 1500's with AC. And everyone has paid me. (including Blue Shield) I don't use EZ claims or anything but AC itself. Subject: Paper bills in NYTo: Date: Sunday, November 23, 2008, 3:43 PM Hi, all! Do any of you NY docs bill your insurance payers with paperbills? I was planning on sending HCFA 1500's, generated by AC, untilmy EZ Claims clearinghouse billing is set up, since it seems that maytake awhile. But, while reviewing the Blue Cross website, I see theysay that NY state law requires me to bill electronically unless I havea waiver from the Health Dept. (which I may not be able to get anyway, since I expect to submit more than 1200 bills/yr.) I spent time onthe Health Dept. website, and couldn't find anything about gettingsuch a waiver, or even figure out who to ask. Has anybody done this?Thanks---Sharlene- --
