Guest guest
Hi everybody, My ASD son is 3 1/2 year; He is age appropriate in all areas except speech, which he is a year behind. He was non-verbal 10 months ago. When ever you insist on him talking he starts to stem, but mostly he just screams. Also, his spontaneous vocabulary is about 100 words and he does at time say 4 word sentences, but if he can he will only use one word. While, I think his progress is pretty good, he first scream and then he will give you the right word or sentence. Me, the people that word with him just can't get him to stop screaming. Also, after he screams he say, " don't scream, " and than will give you the appropriate word or sentence. HELP IF ANY ONE HAS ANY IDEAS.
