Guest guest
From the May 2002 ASA-NV Easel Newsletter: Special Autism Awareness Plates Now Available in Virginia After previously unsuccessful attempts to have an " Unlocking Autism " license plate made available to drivers in Virginia, success arrived this year! In April (how appropriately timed!), the Virginia Legislature passed and Governor Warner signed a bill adding this awareness plate to the VA DMV roster. The plate design is being finalized now and, once 250 requests have been received at DMV offices around the state, printing will begin. Now, granted, few things are as tedious as a visit to the DMV, but it's a small price to pay for the extra visibility these plates will bring. So, be sure to head down to your local DMV and get registered for some new license plates!
