Florida update/now are you happy with services in your state?

It is truly a depressing state of affairs in FL. I wish we could leave but the housing market is so bad..tough to sell without selling it for foreclosure price!But if things ever turn around...I wondered what states were better in terms of services for our kids. I know they are the cold states! I have often wondered if we should go back to the Northeast.
