Guest guest
Dear Friends, I few weeks ago I wrote to say that it appeared we were going to have to shut down our school. For various reasons, the Board of Directors felt that unless we were able to raise $50K before Oct. 18, it just was not viable to keep the school open. Well, a miracle has happened! I just got word that a local foundation is going to grant us the money. Better still, they are going to work with us to help us raise more money so that the well won't be constantly running dry every 6 months. I've been meeting with the CEO of the foundation over the past couple of weeks, and I think this is going to be an excellent partnership. I'm very excited. :-) I want to thank everybody for their encouragement and support during the past month. I've received emails and phone calls offering moral support and monetary contributions, and one list mate even arranged for us to get a spot on the Public Television station. (They'll be coming out sometime next week to do the interview.) It meant a lot to me to hear from so many of you when the future didn't look very promising. Thanks for being there!
