Guest guest
My son, who is seven, is extremely sensitive to sound - most of our ASD children are, but he is extreme even within this group. His parapro would like to be able to take him to assemblies and functions in the school gym. So far, he tenses up and requests over and over to leave. Even with primary reinforcers, he wants to leave. Perhaps it is just not realistic to expect him to enjoy or even tolerate these types of things. I wondered if anyone has found a way to help a child with this problem tolerate these activities. Joy
