Guest guest
Christel, I want to make sure I'm understanding this the right way...so your theory is that even in the " imbalances " section of the stool analysis report, these bacteria could be causing issues? I know I asked Pam at Great Plains to explain this section to me because I was concerned, but she said it was fine. Dr. Mumper never commented on them either. but... (with diagnosed ASD) has gamma strep at 2+. My other little guy, Carson (NT, but I think with OCD tendencies galore) has alpha haemolytic strep at 3+ and I have gamma strep at 4+. We all have at least some OCD tendencies. Carson's are worse than 's. I don't think the probios we were using at the time of testing had strep strains, but I can double check today at the store. was tested for PANDAS, but was normal. What are ASO titers? and Levi's story was great. At what point did you feel comfortable presenting him as recovered? We are pretty sure that would have his autism diagnosis dropped at this point, but we don't want to do it until we can also put all of this biomedical junk behind us. I guess we just don't feel like we're there yet, afraid of a relapse if something gets messed up biomedically...it's weird that it's a more difficult decision for us to make than getting the diagnosis in the first place. Your story was definitely inspiring. I can't wait to get ours out there...in time Kari -- In mb12 valtrex , " Christel King " wrote: > > you don't want it that high, I have put a therory out there with this line and probotics adding it the issues, does your probotics have the strep line in it? does your child have tics or OCD issues? does he struggle with strep throat at all? have you ever had ASO titers done? > > > > > > Recovering from Autism is a marathon > NOT a sprint, but FULLY possible! > Read more about it on my BLOGs at > http://www.myspace.com/christelking > http://foggyrock.com/MyPage/recoveringwishes > digestive stool analysis-help understanding > > > On a Genova Digestive stool analysis, under microbiology-ADDITIONAL BACTERIA- my sons > test says alpha haemolytic streptococcus, NP 4 +. > Does anyone know what this means? Guest guest
thank you, we have had regression rob us of our gains 2 times, one with a PANDAS flare, another with a GI scope with nitrious oxide (also has a question of strep exposure with it) our ped before both regressions was telling us he no longer qualified as autistic. our state has a mandate of sorts that every 3 years you are reevaluated. we knew he was doing well, they redid his eval and told us he no longer qualified as autistic and was 1 point from teetering with a PDD label or just speech delayed. but due to the regression history and the school notings ect they did go with the PDD so if we had another one instead of scrambleing to get another dx to get services we had it in our pocket if need be. the other thing the news didn't mention was that they lady that removed his label in testing also GAVE Him his label 3 years ago, so this isn't a difference of opion from one person to the next. but the same evaluation person!! making it even cooler. she cried with us as she told us the outcome. needeless to say we were thrilled. are you ok with me shareing your comments below. we are compiling the responces we get from the media for the reporter and for levi's scrap book through autism. but I want to make sure I have permission to share first Recovering from Autism is a marathonNOT a sprint, but FULLY possible!Read more about it on my BLOGs athttp://www.myspace.com/christelkinghttp://foggyrock.com/MyPage/recoveringwishes digestive stool analysis-help understanding> > > On a Genova Digestive stool analysis, undermicrobiology-ADDITIONAL BACTERIA- my sons > test says alpha haemolytic streptococcus, NP 4 +.> Does anyone know what this means? Guest guest
-Just to add: my son has a pos+ ASO titer, and is now being treated for PANDAS. This stool test was performed prior to that, and even prior to using probiotics. I was wondering about strep IN THE GUT, as I recently read one of Stans files posted by a mom who cured her child's PANDAS with Diflucan and two other antifungals. Thats where my head is at-is this showing a strain in the gut, and what is non-pathogen? -- In mb12 valtrex , " karicreehan " wrote: > > Christel, > > I want to make sure I'm understanding this the right way...so your > theory is that even in the " imbalances " section of the stool analysis > report, these bacteria could be causing issues? Guest guest
oh sorry about that, I forgot to answer your questions., I have a therory going that have been testing in a small group of people and feel that i am on to something, I have had many responces now saying they are seeing the same thing, those with gamma strep showing in stool, who are using probotics with strep lines in their probotics and PANDAS and the body misinterpeting the strep stains in the probotics as bad strep and flairing PANDAS episodes and it showing in stool testing at the same time. then they remove the probotics with the strep strain to see it go away on the stool tests and ASO and B antanase (sure I spelled that wrong) correcting themselves. many of these have tried 3 rounds of z pack with no number going down or do OLE to fight (with better success) but found this made the fight easier or not needed, or made the results stick with the change just a theory but so far testing out well Recovering from Autism is a marathonNOT a sprint, but FULLY possible!Read more about it on my BLOGs athttp://www.myspace.com/christelkinghttp://foggyrock.com/MyPage/recoveringwishes digestive stool analysis-help understanding> > > On a Genova Digestive stool analysis, undermicrobiology-ADDITIONAL BACTERIA- my sons > test says alpha haemolytic streptococcus, NP 4 +.> Does anyone know what this means? Guest guest
-KARI- my son had NP alpha strep 4+ and has tons of OCD and a diagnosis (now) of PANDAS. Does your lab say pathogen, non-pathogen ? Do you happen to know what this means? I will look for that file.-- In mb12 valtrex , " Christel King " wrote: > > thank you, we have had regression rob us of our gains 2 times, one with a PANDAS flare, another with a GI scope with nitrious oxide (also has a question of strep exposure with it) our ped before both regressions was telling us he no longer qualified as autistic. our state has a mandate of sorts that every 3 years you are reevaluated. we knew he was doing well, they redid his eval and told us he no longer qualified as autistic and was 1 point from teetering with a PDD label or just speech delayed. but due to the regression history and the school notings ect they did go with the PDD so if we had another one instead of scrambleing to get another dx to get services we had it in our pocket if need be. the other thing the news didn't mention was that they lady that removed his label in testing also GAVE Him his label 3 years ago, so this isn't a difference of opion from one person to the next. but the same evaluation person!! making it even cooler. she cried with us as she told us the outcome. needeless to say we were thrilled. are you ok with me shareing your comments below. we are compiling the responces we get from the media for the reporter and for levi's scrap book through autism. but I want to make sure I have permission to share first > > > > Recovering from Autism is a marathon > NOT a sprint, but FULLY possible! > Read more about it on my BLOGs at > http://www.myspace.com/christelking > http://foggyrock.com/MyPage/recoveringwishes > digestive stool analysis-help understanding > > > > > > On a Genova Digestive stool analysis, under > microbiology-ADDITIONAL BACTERIA- my sons > > test says alpha haemolytic streptococcus, NP 4 +. > > Does anyone know what this means? Guest guest
Do you need PANDAS for gamma strep to be a problem? My son has a negative ASO but a +4 gamma strep on stool analysis (and I think it's in his probiotic as well). Thanks! digestive stool analysis-help understanding> > > > > > On a Genova Digestive stool analysis, under> microbiology- ADDITIONAL BACTERIA- my sons > > test says alpha haemolytic streptococcus, NP 4 +.> > Does anyone know what this means?
