Guest guest
I nursed our daughter for an entire year before I learned that amalgam fillings contain mercury. I had 13 old fillings in my mouth at the time. My daughter is now 8 years old and doing great. No autism. We did not vacinate her either. I would not have the fillings removed while you are still nursing but that is just my opinion. I had my fillings removed eventually by a very qualified dentist and still I did not feel well for weeks afterwards. Subject: Should I stop breastfeeding??To: mb12 valtrex Date: Sunday, June 1, 2008, 9:02 PM I have a 4 yr. old with ASD. I only nursed him exclusively for the first week, and then began supplementing with formula after that, per our previous pediatrician' s advice. So he got part breast milk/part formula for the first few mos. until my milk was gone. Not sure if he would be classified as a "breastfed baby" or not. Anyways, I have a 3 wk. old I am nursing, but I also have an ENTIRE mouth full of silver fillings. I was reading that alot of parents advise not to breastfeed at all if you have these. They are old fillings that need to be replaced. On the other hand, I read that ASD children tend to fare better if they were breastfed?? Not sure what to do right now. Should I have our DAN run tests on me? Anyone have experience with this??
Guest guest
My vote, continue to breastfeed. There is a lot you can do to ensure your milk is great quality. You would learn a lot at Body Ecology Diet. Load up on fish oil, ghee, raw organic coconut oil, raw yolks as breast milk is 60% fat. You would benefit from fermented foods. I too have a mouth full of amalgams but nursed my NT daughter 24 months. I kept my diet very clean. I consumed lots of organic produce, healthy fats, grass fed beef, free range turkey, free roaming raw yolks, lots of minerals, and fermented foods everyday. My daughter is thriving. I have yet to remove my amalgams, but plan to someday. > > > I have a 4 yr. old with ASD.
