Guest guest
Thanks Sara!! Do you really think that I'll have great results and look awesome with BFL? I couldn't wait until today for my free day so I took yesterday off and ate like I would have today. LOL We went to our first movie in the theaters with our 2 year old so I couldn't resist the popcorn. Then, we had to stop by Long Silver's. I had to have my popcorn shrimp and greasy fries. After we got home, I had two of the walnut brownies I'd made for my husband. Boy did I go all out yesterday. =0) Then, for my dinner I had a bowl of cheerios with my MILK!!!! Milk never tasted so good. So, guess what I get to do today? I get to do my lower body workout and eat properly. YAY Would you recommend that I use any of the EAS products to help me during my first challenge? I've done some reading, but not extensive reading in regards to supplements. I have tried the supplement bars. Didn't really find one that I liked. I'm going to buy the shake mix so I can start making those in the mornings and/or for a snack. I'm just not sure if I need to get some type of capsule for losing fat. If that's what they do. Thanks for the great compliments too! > , > > You will look awesome with BFL. Guest guest
, You are smart to enjoy your free day to its fullest extent! I think it is what helps people make BFL a lifestyle - knowing that they are never more than 6 days away from anything they want to eat. The only supplements I've used are the shakes and protein powder. When I started BFL, I wanted to only use whatever I was willing to use the rest of my life because I was so hoping it would work and become a lifestyle. I knew I couldn't afford a lot of supplements and I worry about the safety of many of them. I feel safe with shakes and protein so that's what I use. The compliments are sincere - you look great. Please stick with it!! Sara

Guest guest
Hello, I’m new to the group, and enjoy reading all these comments. I am familiar with ’s work, but have problems on doing the work on me… Although I like my ‘alone’ time, I love being with people, but feel the more I search for freedom, and do all the 'undoing' & accepting all as ‘it is what it is’, it leaves me quite numb and feel I annihilate myself. It’s a dichotomy. I know the work can clear this up for me somewhere, but I can’t seem to grasp it…..does this make any sense to anyone??…thanks....gim --------------------------------- Try the new improved Yahoo! Guest guest
Gem, I notice that when I'm in transition to a new way of thinking or feeling, as I leave an old belief system and haven't quite embrassed the new one, I seem to be in what I call " the twighlight zone. " The feelings and confusion associated with that transition are soon transformed into a sense of certainty that I am on the right path and a sense of clarity about what I left behind and what I am now embracing. It's then not uncommon for me to attract new people into my life that are mirroring a new, higher level of consciousness for me. Hope this is helpful-- Eddie > >Reply-To: Loving-what-is >To: Loving-what-is >Subject: Re: >Date: Tue, 17 Feb 2004 15:12:37 +1100 (EST) > > > > >Hello, I’m new to the group, and enjoy reading all these comments. > I am familiar with ’s work, but have problems on doing the work >on me… Although I like my ‘alone’ time, I love being with people, but feel >the more I search for freedom, and do all the 'undoing' & accepting all as >‘it is what it is’, it leaves me quite numb and feel I annihilate myself. >It’s a dichotomy. Guest guest
, you are allowed to feel how you do. Everyone is. Its ridiculous for anyone to feel angry about someone having a different point of view. But if you want to be respected and not have anger directed towards you then you have to be willing to accept other people have view points different from yourself because you can always hit delete if you see something you dont like. Personally I find NOTHING wrong in that some other people voiced their opinions and experiances in raising their children to give me some insight into how other people raise their kids being the only example I had was a NUT. You find someone talking about the " right way " to spank as though it is traumatizing you, and it may be. Your entitled to own your own feelings. But I will tell you I have endured tortures and abuses that would turn your hair white , in fact my own hair is turning white at 24! Ever read A Boy Called It by Dave Pelzer? Well that would be a glimpse into my childhood. So ANY input on child rearing by someone who isnt a sadist is listened to, pondered, and appreciated. And there are many view points out there, i dont have to agree with all but I can listen to any. Also most of the talk WASNT EVEN CENTERED around the " right way to spank " . Much of it was other advice and even different books on child rearing and such things. We are all here because we come from a disturbed background and sometimes we will have fears or issues related to that background that interferes in our lives today. Thats the point of coming here, to get insight from people who have been where we have been and how they themselves coped with different things be it marriage, child rearing, jobs, friends, siblings , ect..ect... Not everyone is going to feel very comfortable about every issue ( thats what delete button is for when you see it ) Not everyone is going to agree with everyone else. But I believe that everyone has a right to heard if its within reasonable bounds. which I KNOW asking for guidance in raising my daughter and coping with being KO parent is and I believe all the replies I recieved were. But if we get to the point that no can even mention something that just may or may not offend someone or give their guidance or opinion then whats the point of even having the board ????? Because youll never know if the day will come when something comes up in your own life you really need answers or support with and God forbid its something deemed " taboo " or has the potential to upset someone so you cant ask. Further the issue had been dropped until I got the warning about it and was completely struck by the audacity of someone acting as though I dont have the right to voice my concerns or reach out for help and even more so that people dont have the right to respond to me within bounds on my experiance. Its not like Im debating something over something I heard from friend of a cousins friend. My fears and questions were pertinent to my life and as Ive said it, I am grateful now for the support I got, and I was gratefull the other day ,and I will be gratefull tommorrow. And Do you have children? Because if you do I would still be gratefull for your advice or experiances also. Even if it is different from what anyone else thinks. Because I respect the right to have an opinion and I find different points of view enlightening. So if you have kids of your own too then please feel free to give out any hints you have learned with your children if you want. Everything is appreciated. Guest guest
Elara slept ALL the time when she was younger (she is 18 months old now). All of our stories are very different… but I can only guess why kids with diabilties sleep more than others at certain stages in their lives. Elara was/is hypotonic and was recovering from her second open heart surgery. Her body put so much energy into healing itself that she was TIRED. Think about yourself. Imagine going about your day, but working 10x harder than everyone else because your muscle tone is so low. Your muscles having to work 3, 4, or even 5 times harder to do something simple, like roll over and take a step. Think about how exhausting it would be to co-ordinate eating and breathing if you had generalized low tone. Exhausting I bet. Elara slept most of the day until she was almost a year old. Now, she sleeps from 9 or 11pm to 7 or 9am, and has a nap from 1-3 or 2-5. She is also much stronger now than she was. Elara has also never had a seizure, and I can't even begin to imagine how tiring that would be on top of everything else. Good luck with the doctor, I hope they get back to you soon. Be persistent, and call every day, twice a day if you have to to get the answers you need. Keep us posted! Tara > My daughter is five months old and she sleeps all the time. I don't even see how she could be developing when she sleeps this much. She was seizure free for two weeks but had three Friday and one today. I called the doctor and am waiting for a call back. Guest guest
Is she taking any seizure meds? This reminds me of my friend's little girl when she was an infant. She slept all the time. She was on phenobarital (sp?) for the seizures that seemed to be causing this. One she switched her to Trileptal for the seizures she was awake more hours. Guest guest
Tara your daughter sounds a lot like my son. He had weak diaphragms and after surgery spent pretty much the first year of his life working super hard to strengthen his diaphragms and accessory muscles to breathe. When he started pt he would only get 15-30 minutes into a session before he'd pass out mid exercise. But that's exactly what the therapists told me that he's working overtime just to breathe with all his accessory muscles and then we are asking him to use those same muscles to push up, roll over and sit up. He's almost 17 months now and much stronger and awake more. le, I wish I could be of more help but I'm still new to this. Call the docs and ask your therapists. I'm constantly asking questions. Get email addresses if you can. Makes it so much easier and I feel less bothersome when I email. “I am learning all the time. Guest guest
Hi Parents, I am new to this site buy I have 18 years experience with Polymicrogyria. started have seizures at 3 months in the myoclonic form. Was on Phenobarbital & everytime we went to neurologist, he would ask if we saw any seizures. No, we didn't. However, he was having Focal seizures which at times are hard to see for us inexperienced with them plus the child is often delayed by syndrome and medicated to prevent seizures. There is a 24-hour EEG that child can wear home. This would help with see if there is activity during sleep etc. Worth trying so the child is not more delayed by sedation from the seizures. My was have up to 60 focals a day. Change in meds, Oh and Dr and we saw a different child. ________________________________ To: " polymicrogyria " <polymicrogyria > Sent: Tuesday, March 13, 2012 10:08 AM Subject: Re:  Tara your daughter sounds a lot like my son. Guest guest
I just called her doctor again and left another message. It just worries me because some days she sleeps all day and only wakes up to eat. Even on the days she is awake more she still sleeps way more than she should. She doesn't seem to have any breathing or feeding issues that would be tiring her out. le Sent from my HTC on the Now Network from Sprint! ----- Reply message ----- Date: Tue, Mar 13, 2012 9:08 am Subject: To: " polymicrogyria " <polymicrogyria >
