Guest guest
These results on triple arthrodesis were very eye-opening. It also may help explain the course of the disease that I witnessed in my sister. She had this procedure done when she was in her young teens. Thereafter, she was always the most affected member of the family and had major problems throughout the rest of her life. I will always wonder now if the fusion did more harm than good in her case... Guest guest
Joyce, I feel Alice was probably right.Smoking cannabis probably had nothing to do with the slow progression.Look at everything that was going on during your progression you you may find the cause.Meds.,Foods,Stress,Life changes. You probably will never know,But one thing you must remember.Your nervous system is different now with the progression and cannabis will effect you different then it did before. There has been studies in Canada with Cmt international about cannabis and pain control. It's suppose to work.It mentioned nothing about stopping progression.June >From: jp20@... >Reply-egroups ><egroups> >Subject: [] Re:(no subject) >Date: Sat, 23 Sep 2000 01:49:40 +0100 >MIME-Version: 1.0 >Received: from [208.50.144.82] by hotmail.com (3.2) with ESMTP id >MHotMailBB9549090072D821EED9D032905231B781; Fri Sep 22 17:50:07 2000 >Received: from [10.1.10.36] by jj. with NNFMP; 23 Sep 2000 >00:49:40 -0000 >Received: (EGP: mail-6_0_2); 23 Sep 2000 00:49:43 -0000 >Received: (qmail 17656 invoked from network); 23 Sep 2000 00:49:43 -0000 >Received: from unknown (10.1.10.27) by m2.onelist.org with QMQP; 23 Sep >2000 00:49:43 -0000 >Received: from unknown (HELO mail1.unison.ie) (212.120.154.14) by mta2 with >SMTP; 23 Sep 2000 00:49:42 -0000 >Received: from Netbox (userab81.ie.uudial.com [212.120.133.181]) by >mail1.unison.ie (8.9.3/8.9.3) with SMTP id BAA07022 for ><egroups>; Sat, 23 Sep 2000 01:49:40 +0100 >From sentto-312147-7764-969670183-joonybug Fri Sep 22 17:51:27 2000 >X-eGroups-Return: >sentto-312147-7764-969670183-joonybug=hotmail.comreturns (DOT) onelist.com >X-Sender: jp20@... >X-Apparently-egroups >Message-ID: <39CBFE25@Netbox> >Mailing-List: list egroups; contact -owneregroups >Delivered-mailing list egroups >Precedence: bulk >List-Unsubscribe: <mailto:-unsubscribeegroups> > > >Hi Everyone,Alice, > >It still seems to me to be more than a >coincidence after having progression >in my teens then smoking cannabis >(small amounts--not getting blitzed!!) >for 10 years with no progression at all. >Then on stopping the cannabis the >progression was so rapid that people >around me could see the deterioration >from week to week. Guest guest
Hi Everyone,Alice, It still seems to me to be more than a coincidence after having progression in my teens then smoking cannabis (small amounts--not getting blitzed!!) for 10 years with no progression at all. Then on stopping the cannabis the progression was so rapid that people around me could see the deterioration from week to week. I went from being fully mobile and active to being a wheelchair user in less than 5 years. For 5 of the 10 years I was under immense emotional stress, so by rights I should have had progression but there was none, if anything I had less physical symptoms than I did n my teens. Maybe it was coincidence but I`m not convinced!! Joyce

Guest guest
Dear , I sympathize with you in the passing of your Father in Law at this time. My prayers are with you for a special, blessed holiday, and I hope that your day tomorrow will be filled with Thanksgiving for the time that God gave you with this man in your life, and for the many other blessings He had bestowed upon you. I know that grieving is healing, too, but above all, find the things to be thankful for and focus on those in this mournful time. God bless, Patty ----- Original Message ----- From: Brl1949@... Guest guest
Welcome , I am on my way out the door so I cannot answer in depth but will get back with you soon, in the meantime I do think your symptoms sound very similar to allot of mine and others on the board of course, I am not going to say yes that it is your implants, I am also not going to say it is your weight as I once weighed 180 and I am only 5 foot 3 and felt way healthier than I did with implants at 120 so, no not the weight most likely, please read the stories, check the files and the links, see the photos, and ask questions, yes the complications of implants appears much higher in reality than what the Dr's are telling us. Kolb is on this group, she is an excellent PS and has a great knowledge of these issues, she will write you answer your calls, etc. Check out her site too at www.plastikos.com Well gotta run Welcome to the group and stick with us. Love, ----- Original Message ----- From: sjhaavisto@... Sent: Thursday, February 14, 2002 10:19 AM Subject: (no subject) I have had saline implants for over eight years, with no problems. After researching implants for my girlfriend, I discovered how many women are having complications. I have reviewed their symptoms and realized I have many of the same symptoms. Recently, having severe leg pain in the middle of the night when I get up to let my puppy out to pee. And in the morning, I can hardly walk... But then the pain subsides once I've walked a bit. Can this be caused from my implants. I am 32 years old, 5' 4" and weigh about 173. I know I'm overweight, however, I don't want to blame that for the pain. Along with the pain symptom, I have bouts of nausea, IBS, and foggyness. I am always forgetting things. Recently, I was diagnosed with ADD and now am on Adderal, 5mg twice daily. Please help.... Guest guest
>OK, we have about 40 or 50 hens laying and another 10-20 roosters strutting. >How in the world am I supposed to get worms enough to feed them through a >winter? I have zero experience with this myself, so I can't say how useful any suggestions I make will be, but I do understand that vermiculture is a very space-efficient enterprise. IOW you can build or buy worm farms that will generate a tremendous number of worms without taking up very much space, and the worms will eat all sorts of waste your farm already produces and generate peerless compost. And then your chickens will eat the worms, lay superb eggs, and give you terrific chicken manure. Etc. As far as costs and proportions go, though, I'm completely at sea, so for all I know this isn't practical, but it does seem like something to look into. -
Guest guest
u never know what a person is dealing with. For example, the woman in my office lost her husband to cancer and is currently dealing with the imminent death of her son-in-law to cancer as well. So...it wouldn't be a good comeback to give to her. __________________ Well, no, that's not a good response, then. We don't want to offend or hurt anyone. On the lighter side, my husband calls me the garlic queen, just jokingly, but then I know he's kidding with me. Guess the best thing that you can to in this case is saying you're just doing it for your health, which it's the truth of the matter! Guest guest
Troy, This was definitely a wake up call for me and a good " push " for me to let go of my fears of hurting others and realize that in the end, all is right as rain. I absolutetly have to say that this post was something I " devoured " in my mind for it was so needed for me at this moment in my life, dear brother! Thank you so much for sharing this. I am having some difficulties realizing my power is mine alone and, yes, some may be hurt in my process of growing and moving on to a place that I feel more whole but it does not mean I love them or me any less. You are a gift to this family, Troy and I thank you again from the bottom of my heart of hearts! Such sage advice! Love and light, dear!! Some of these cycles everyone moves through at specific times, such as the various stages of life. We all have to deal with youth, maturity and aging. Other cycles are brought on by individualized life challenges - the death of a loved one, relationships ending, careers closing, moving from one location to another, health issues. Some cycles are a result of our soul coming to the fore of our consciousness and seeking the deeper meaning of our lives. > > The fire cycle, which is most closely related to personal power, is one of the most difficult to embrace. It requires voluntarily entering into a period of chaos, of things falling apart, of not knowing what the outcome will be on the other side of transformation. It is when we begin the process of letting go and diving into the truth of a situation or an issue. It is when we take our sword in hand, cut away the dead wood and turn up the heat. During this time you will be confronted with your fears as well as your dreams, hopes, and wishes. You may feel like Frodo in The Lord of the Rings and wish to return to the comfort and safety of the shire ~ and yet there is a part of you that knows that true safety lies ahead and not behind. > > One reason that many refuse to step into the fire and own their power is the fear of hurting someone else. It is true that others are often confused, fearful and angry when our decisions affect them, especially if it disrupts their comfort zone. This does not mean that you should stop your journey or postpone it, although the guilt you may feel may tempt you to abort the change, at least temporarily. In truth, you cannot quit your journey without grave consequences. It is said that " That which you bring forth will save you and that which you do not bring forth will destroy you. " Because our souls are linked together karmically, our decisions will affect others, and they are supposed to! We do not need to protect others from the lessons they need to experience. We can be true to our own lives and be compassionate ~ not codependent ~ with those whose lives are intertwined with ours. > > When the baby is ready to be born it does not ask permission. Life does not travel in a neatly packaged box, or a straight line, but rather in a spiral of cycles and constant transformation. All things change, from the cells in our bodies to the expanding galaxies, in a dance of life and death far beyond our imagined control. > > So what is our part? When we enter into a conscious fire cycle we must be willing to let go, and to do our part ~ whatever that is ~ to change. We must not blame others, or even ourselves, for wrongdoing. We must, however, become cognizant that we have Goddess/God-Given Co- Creative powers and can choose to move forward, or to hold back, the process of change. We can actually stand in the way of creation. It becomes our responsibility to discover and remove the blocks from our path and lean into the destiny that is calling us forth. > > Nietzsche said, " Unless there is chaos, one cannot give birth to a dancing star. " Chaos only looks like chaos to the uninitiated soul. Those who are familiar with change know that what looks like death to the caterpillar is life to the butterfly. The willingness to enter the chaos ~ the fire ~ and birth your own power, is often hard won and only comes after much resistance and suffering. After one has gone through a fire cycle consciously a few times the resistance can lessen. Suffering becomes an option. The fire cycle will most likely never be easy, but with faith it can be a time of grace, excitement, and embracing passion and dreams. You can begin to experience the exquisite power of your own soul, as you make change in your life and become a co-creator with your higher power. > > This world has become a place where power is frequently misused. Perhaps it has always been so upon our earth. This has created an imbalance between those who are powerful and those who feel ineffectual in their lives and depend upon others to run the show. Many people feel wounded around their power and so either reject the power/fire or misuse their power/fire. Neither course solves the problem. We were all born to be beautiful and to shine, no matter who we are. The earth and all her creatures need each and every one of us to be willing to step into the fires of transformation and to rise up out of the ashes of our old selves, just as the phoenix does again and again. If ever there was a time for us to do the conscious work of transformation and step more fully into the fire to embrace our power and our true selves, now is that time. > > The world was born of fire and so is each decision we make to change.
