I know you've worked hard over the years to disseminate correct information about ABA, and I've heard you say explicitly that what you do should not be construed as the development of a new method. We've all made mistakes in the way we talk about these issues; there's no shame in misunderstanding. It's not easy to conceptualize what ABA is when what most people are exposed to are commonly used teaching procedures and the general teaching guidelines developed by various practitioners. It's very easy to confuse those salient features with ABA.
