Steve coded to Medicare for PQRI last

year. We reported on 4 issues – A1C, aspirin, diastolic and

systolic BP – and it took him 30 minutes to set up the links in

e-MDs. Reimbursement “bonus” for the 6 months of reporting in

2007 was a whopping $210. Now that it’s been set up, however, we

continue to report it. We’ll see what we get for 2008.

Thanks .

As you know eMDs is the single most important piece

in my IMP.

It holds promise for ePrescribing, P4P, and portal

access.

Have you used the P4P with medicare.

They tell me I am still able to do it this year if I

report on 15 patients with diabetes.

Have you been able to do this?

Or are we spinning our wheels.

I would like the 5% increase next year 4% paid in

2010 if I knew it would work. And improve care.

I have not done it yet, but will likely start

in the next couple of months. I have not been entirely happy with surescripts, but we do have it working. It does seem to

take more time than it saves, but that is more associated with the surescripts side than the e-MDs side.

Is

anyone using it? What do you think of it? What works well, does not

work well? (An e-MDs first generation product scares me-- it has taken

them 7 months and they still haven't figured out how to get us

SureScripts) Is it worth the money? How difficult is set-up/

maintenance- - does it have tons of glitches?

I'd be really greatful for any feedback.

Thanks,
