New Modifiers for Medicare

Hello out there ~ Bill Vaughn especially ~

Don't know if any of you have noticed but I am seeing new Modifiers on bills but Trailblazer (Region 4's MAC) where I go to get charges does not show these new modifiers. They are 59 and 24. Has anyone else seen this and what price are you then using for bill to pay provider?

I see Modifier 24 from the surgeon’s

claim when they are billing for post transplant visit for management of immunosuppressive

therapy. But this are post transplant care and should be billed to the Payor

directly.

Modifier 59 is used when the physician

office bills for 2 separate procedures done on the same day.
