Guest guest
My son attends the TEACCH demonstration preschool in the AM and we do a VB home program in the PM. Both therapies compliment and help him in different ways. TEACCH with pre-academic skills, he is 4 and non-verbal, and can sight read over 200 words. VB helps with communication. He has 25 signs now as a result of VB. It works for us! There is a lot more I could describe but that it in a nutshell. I do agree with the person who said the TEACCH programs are not run properly. My son was placed to a public school early intervention class when he was first diagnosed and it was terrible! (Supposed TEACCH Model Classroom) That's why we got on the TEACCH waiting list. I even had my son's teacher at TEACCH tell me rarely are the public schools running the TEACCH programs correctly. Trina
