Guest guest
, thank you for your beautiful letter. I'm not one of those in the trenches, but I can feel the difficulty from which you write. I'm sure you will hear from many other moms with little ones. Our fragmented " community " , which is more often than not, no community, leaves mothers with a task other generations didn't face, that of raising children alone, no help from relatives and group mothering. My hope is that you will see Traditional Food as " just food " , it doesn't have to be 100% perfect, and that cooking for your family will be a simple joy and not a hardship. While it may not feel like it to you on many days, what you are doing is so valuable. Plus, our children have a tendency to turn out JUST FINE in the end, in spite of all our so-called limitations! Guest guest
Will, Thank you so much for those encouraging words! I think my primary frustration right now is trying to determine what is bothering my kids and causing their eczema on top of juggling it all. I am very blessed to have some support from my family and my mother's groups, but having a " fat is evil " vegan for a MIL does add a bit of stress. Ugh! Thanks again for those encouraging and wise words. ~
