Medical Travel Assistance Program

Autism is a lifelong neurological condition, affecting reasoning,

social interaction and communication skills. Once thought to be a

rare condition, the number of children being diagnosed with autism

has reached an all time high, affecting 1 in 250 children in the

United States. Finding medical professionals knowledgeable in

properly treating these children can be a strenuous task for parents

who often have to travel out of their immediate area to find

appropriate care. Unlocking Autism's Wings for Little Angels Program

was established to assist children with Autism in obtaining that

critically needed medical care.

Wings for Little Angels has continued to assist parents and their

children with Autism through the continued support of three airlines.

Medical travel for our children is dependent on the generous support

of airline travelers who choose to donate their frequent flyer

miles. However, these donated miles are periodically depleted,

during which time children who need assistance may not receive it.

HERE'S HOW YOU CAN HELP!

Your generous donation of frequent flyer miles will help a family

already placed under financial stress. The responsibilities of

caring for a child with Autism can be heavy, but you can help give

our Little Angels the Wings they need to meet their full potential

that they would not otherwise receive.

Some airlines will allow you to donate directly to Unlocking Autism,

while others have a " pool " of miles available for all needy

children. Either way, our children have been given very generous

support by all three of these airlines. When you contact the

airlines, make sure to thank them for supporting children with Autism!

for assistance with a flight. We were unfortunately only able to give two

weeks notice and were turned down for assistance.
