Guest guest
I recently read somewhere that you can use probiotic powder (like the kind you'd take as a supplement) as starter in yogurt, instead of having to use an expensive starter. When starting yogurt from other yogurt, is it a problem to use organic but pasteurized store-bought yogurt (like Seven Stars brand) as a starter in raw milk yogurt? I have done this before, but recently read something that discouraged this.... Thanks in advance, Emilie
Guest guest
I have used organic store-bought yogurt for a starter. Now I use some raw yogurt from a local farmer for my starter. He uses a culture from dairyconnection.com > I recently read somewhere that you can use probiotic powder (like the > kind you'd take as a supplement) as starter in yogurt, instead of > having to use an expensive starter.
