Guest guest
Hi Everyone,I have been using a TEDS compression stocking to help keep the swelling down.My trick is to put it on immediately when I wake up. When I am flared up badly I will keep it in easy reach on the night stand and put it on before I get out of bed. It is easier to put on than the elastic bandages I used to use. Those would slip down on my slim leg and unwind themselves. I never did get very good at putting them on.Love,
Guest guest
Hi, Anything on my legs drives me absolutely nuts. Ted hose, or elastic wraps, whatever, I don't know why, but I have a neuropothy type pain in my legs, and sometimes having anything touch them is like having hot sandpaper on my legs.....I live in capris..and flipflops...unless necessary to work, then have 100 percent cotton socks and only can wear leather shoes in and out.......weird huh. Guest guest
Hi Kris,I sort of know what you mean. When I started with the TEDS, I couldn't wear them. The extra pressure was too much. I ripped them off as soon as I pulled them up. But when I was in remission, I started to use them and continue to use them. Also, I am sure my TEDS are not as tight as they would be on normal sized legs as myEN leg is rather thin, and even thinner now that the fat has nearly disappeared from the part that usually gets EN. Neuropathy is the worse kind of pain. I wonder if your lumps are pressing on your nerves. OUCH!!Love,
Guest guest
Any kind of stocking irritates my leg worse, a sock, regular hose, shoes. Anything that goes around my leg just makes the swelling absolutely unbareable. After work, I usually go home and put my foot up on my bed with a bag of ice. That feels better for a little while. Does this swelling and constant maintenance exhaust anyone else. I'm always so tired.
