Guest guest
My son's school has been providing 3 hour/day of ABA with Verbal Behavior therapy. We live in Georgia and this is a rarity. They have been trained until recently through our private consultant, SCEAP. We started asking the school to pay their part of the workshops and they did until recently. Now they have come up with what I believe is a scheme to avoid paying their part. They have sent some school personnel(with no previous ABA training) to a DTT workshop held in another district. And now they have " ABA trained personnel " who no longer need to attend our workshops. This obviously will not work. Has anyone ever had therapists working with the same child on the same programs trained by different sources? I don't believe they were taught AVB which is a critical portion of my son's program. If anyone can cite data on why this will be a disaster for my child, please let me know. Joy joy.brown@...
