Guest guest Posted May 20, 2008 Report Share Posted May 20, 2008 Subject: Abstracts for the 2009 UNOS Transplant Management Forum in Seattle, Washington Dear Colleague: Each year, the UNOS Transplant Management Forum offers an opportunity to share with a national audience the results of your research or projects in the transplant administrative arena. This year's successful Forum in Dallas, TX drew more than 475 participants, accepted 42 abstracts for the meeting including 8 abstracts for oral presentation. The OPTN/UNOS Transplant Administrators Committee invites you to submit an abstract for the 17th Annual UNOS Transplant Management Forum, which will be held April 22-24, 2009 at the Sheraton Hotel in Seattle, Washington. In addition, every abstract will be considered for a UNOS Transplant Administrators Abstract Award of $1,000. Awards will be given in each of the following 5 categories. Please note that new awards may be added to this list in the future. 1. Cost reduction / increase in work efficiency/ Patient care safety programs 2. Quality assurance/improvement/ Transplant pharmacoeconomics 3. Transplant administration in general (e.g. marketing, infrastructure, staffing) 4. Revenue management/Optimizing profitability 5. Transplant center initiatives to increase organ donation All abstracts submitted by June 20, 2008 will be considered for concurrent or plenary session, by September 19, 2008 for 15-minute oral or poster presentation, or by February 20, 2009 for poster presentation only.
