Guest guest
Hi all New here and going to introduce myself. efore I get startd I just want to let you all know I am a horrible typist.) *S* Hi, I am mom to (4). was diagnosised with neutropenia at 12 months. I have been fighting her hemotologist since then to do something. With all her illnesses she is not gross and fine motor delayed and been receiving speech since age 2 and OT and PT this past year. A couple of months ago I got a 2nd opinion. Her new hem did a bone marrow biopsy and aspiration along with many blood tests. And started her on 120 mcg of neupogen 3 times/week. Among these blood tests were the immunogloblin series and sub classes. Had the series done when she was 1 and were fine. The sub classes have been coming back real low. (Not sure what this means.) Not all the test were back last week. Told us that we will have to see an immnologist after all the results are in. She also mentioned the use of IVIG. What also came back were the vaccination tithers. These all came back neg. No antibodies were ever made. None for the chicken pox either. Since not all the esults were in she had as many questions as I did. We go back next week. She will be testing her blood for B and T cells and some ther related things. I hate this waiting period. I am not sure what all this means. Its like I finally get her treatment for one problem and another is found. By the way she is allergic to Lorabid, cefzil and zithroax. Well i look forward to your experiences and support. (mom to Evan-6 my hockey player, (My little dancer also neutroenic and immune problems and Abby Rose (2 on the 23rd) she is my terror) _________________________________________________________
