Glad I found this group!

Hello all,

I am so glad that I found this group. I haven't explored all the

available information yet, but what I have seen has been so

helpful. Thanks to and all who have made all this

information available. One thing that really helped me was seeing

the pictures of this condition. After my doctor told me what the

red lumps on my legs were called, I checked the internet and printed

out a few articles. At the time I saw the doctor, my lumps were

small and the article that said the lesions were " nickle to quarter "

size seemed reasonable. After finishing the short course of

prednisone, which decreased the lumps and my ankle swelling, the

lumps returned with a vengeance. Several of them were much larger

than the articles I'd read indicated. If not for this site, I would

have panicked. At this point, the extreme ankle swelling is way

down, and the lumps aren't quite as painful, but I'm not expecting

that this is going away any time soon. That is another thing the

articles said, that it usually goes away in 3-6 weeks.

I wasn't given any reason for my having the lumps, after blood work

didn't indicate any problems. I was told to " come back " if they

persist, which I will do. Thanks again to all of you for your

invaluable information.
