Guest guest
Anyone know anything about Lysozyme? This came up high on Tommy's stool test (Ref Range is <= 600ng/mL and his was 949). His DAN doc says this indicates that he has a lot of inflammation, but we had a friend look at his test who is also a GI Doc and he says his results are normal. I'm confused. Guest guest
My son had the same results on his CSA, he had no yeast or bacteria with balanced good flora, but his lysozyme was 1040. His DAN said it was probably inflammation from feeding him foods that were high on his food IgG. We did both tests at the same time and found out he was highly effected by eggs (he was getting 4-5 a day) and several other foods he was eating on a regular basis. We have since removed all of his moderate and high reactors and added in Singulair, Aloe Vera Juice, turmeric, and Omega Swirl by Barlean's and he is doing sooooo much better. We are finally having 2-3 normal BM's per day. Is your son the diarrhea or constipated type? Mine was always constipated followed by runny messes. Feel free to contact me privately if you have any questions. Guest guest
Wow, thanks . What you described sounds so much like what we found here. I was guessing that the inflammation was probably from foods he wasn't tolerating...only I don't know which ones. He is gfcf, but no sf and not corn free either. I'm guessing all the corn type snacks he eats are doing this, but geez it sure is hard to take away EVERYTHING he likes. Our DAN gave us Singulair too. She said it might help with inflammation. Did you find it to help? How could you tell? My son is nonverbal and so we never know what he's feeling. My husband's telling me we should hang it up with all this biomedical stuff cuz nothing is making a difference after 3+ years of treatment. inflammation - stool test - lysozymeTo: mb12 valtrex Date: Sunday, July 20, 2008, 5:44 PM Anyone know anything about Lysozyme?
