Guest guest
Is this on the PANDAS profile? My son had this on his most recent one, and Dr. Gupta, the immunologist from Irvine CA told me there had to be a problem at the lab, that it was scientifically impossible in my son's case since his IgMs went up and his IgGs went down. Unless your son's issues with Ganglioside/tubulins are just starting. Basically what Dr. Gupta told me is that the IgM's are the first responders. Those numbers should go up first since they are reacting to whatever the problem is. The IgGs go up next and usually stay up because they are the memory antibodies. They remember what your body has been exposed to and they stick around to let your body know next time something comes up. The IgMs should go back down and the IgGs should stay higher. So they are right in thinking he's got something going on right now, and if you retest in 2-3 months the IgGs should be higher and the IgMs should have gone back down. My son's MBP, Gaglioside and Tubulins are the ones both are DAN and Dr. Gupta are really concerned about and yes they are the ones that truly indicate PANDAS. They are the antibrain antibodies. Your son's numbers are very close to my son's 2nd set of numbers. How is he doing? What things are you seeing? We are living a nightmare right now Kerrie Since no Dr's can interpret this...I'll ask you parents, the experts..My sons Ganglioside IgM is very elevated 128 and normal is around 46 and his MBP IgM is also high at 116 and normal is 37..and his other IgM's are all high.tubulin too. but his IgG's are only slightly elevated.. So this is what the Dr's at Kaiser can't make sense of...They said this shows he has an acute infection right now and because they can't make sense of this no one can treat him??Has anyone else ever had this? How was it treated and is it a PITANDS type of disorder??? THanks, Need a new ride? Check out the largest site for U.S. used car listings at AOL Autos. Guest guest
Has anyone who is dealing with PANDAS ever tried the strep specific Transfer Factor from Researched Nutritionals? My hope is that this may offer hope for this difficult to treat condition. Lori Knowles Re: My son's IgM's are really high but IgG are only slightly el... Different therapies ie: antibiotics, anti-virals, IVIG can help...and yes your definition is good but it is a disorder/ not a disease (like I said please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm new to all this too!) I am learning more & more about this from this website and realizing this is very controversial with DR's. If your son has had a recent infection or showing symptoms that started after an infection then maybe test?? > Is this on the PANDAS profile? > > My son had this on his most recent one, and Dr. Gupta, the immunologist from Irvine CA told me there had to be a problem at the lab, that it was scientifically impossible in my son's case since his IgMs went up and his IgGs went down. > > Unless your son's issues with Ganglioside/tubulins are just starting. > > Basically what Dr. Gupta told me is that the IgM's are the first responders.
