Guest guest
Hi All, Senate bill S. 1760 is a bill to amend the social security act. As this bill is currently written, it would allow counselors and marrage and family therapists the opportunity to provide services under medicare. It does not include Behavior Analyst's. This is not because they don't like us, it is because they don't know about us. Please let the senate know. Contact your local senator (you can do this on line if you prefer by going to the Senate website)- especially if you are in Vermont (Jefford's is a co-sponsor of the bill). We need voices. The more the better. This bill represents a way to drastically change the field of behavior analysis by ligitimizing it as a profession and placing it on par with other mental health professionals. Remember to specifically acknowledge Board Certified Behavior Analyst in Senate Bill 1760. Thanks, Joe P.S. Please pass along to other who might be interested.
