Guest guest
karen, that is what i have, episcleritis. it sounds strange that he would rx an antibiotic for an autoimflammation issue. hmmmm. but it is better, that's good. antibiotics never helped mine, only steroid or nsafd drops or cyclosplorine emulsion. oral prednisone helped as well as oral voltaren (nsaid) and tacrolimus (oral that is). i don't know how much you know about episcleritis. it is the tiny blood vessels in your episcleria getting inflamed. the episcleria is the thin membrane covering your scleria, which is the white part of your eye. i suppose it could be inflamed due to an infection and he is trying that first in hopes that is what it is. he might of hit the mark on that. i hope that is the case and you never have it again. in " most " cases, it does resolve it self, except in cases like mine where i have so much other inflammation going on, cd and pg, it just never goes away. but my sx's are always rare and " odd- ball " anyway....lol. jeff - In erythema_nodosum_Group , Bussell wrote: > > Hey Jeff, > After another visit to my optomologist for pain in my right eye, turns out I misunderstood what he told me I had on my first visit a few month's ago, so insted of uveitis I have episcleritis..... this visit he perscribed Patanol antibotic eye drops after a few days of that its feeling better.
