I just use regular ear protector headphones (my kids use them

when they mow the lawn, because they don’t like the noise) it helps bring the

noise to a tolerable level.

They look like these:

You can also find them at

Wal-mart in the hunting/gun section.

Additionally I found two pair at

Goodwill for $1.99 each, you just have to hunt for them.

I can’t believe I forgot Goodwill!! That is one of my kids’

favorite stores;-)

And my husband’s…he used to buy a lot of um…‘junk’ because he

said, ‘hey, I can fix that and sell it’..and he had good intentions, but it

just didn’t happen…several years ago, lightning struck our gas line, and after

the repairmen fixed it, one of them wanted to come into the house to relight

the pilot light on the furnace…and I told him that the basement was kind of

messy, but he said,,’oh, that’s ok..i am sure that I have seen worse.’..when we

got to the basement, he just looked around for a minute, then said in an awed

voice..”Lady, you got a LOT of stuff!” and I was just *mortified*..

Here’s some products designed for kids. http://earplugstore.stores.yahoo.net/chearpr.html

Our school system uses Peltor/AOSafety Select Jr. earphones and they work pretty well. I bought a pair for Elise to use at sporting events, movies, etc. Of course now that she has her own at home, she is growing out of her need to use them - but that’s a good thing!

What kind of headphones do you use? I would like to try this with Hunter.
