“WALK OF FAME” STARS TO HONOR DONATION/TRANSPLANTATION LUMINARIES

The Donate Life Float Committee is pleased to announce an additional element on our 2009 float entry: the Stars of Life Walk of Fame. Inspired by the Hollywood Walk of Fame, this cluster of stars will honor 14 luminaries in the field of donation and transplantation, allowing physicians, community leaders and civic officials the opportunity to be honored alongside the donor family members, deceased and living donors, and transplant recipients represented among the riders and floragraphs. You are invited to nominate individuals to be recognized in the Stars of Life Walk of Fame for his or her positive, lasting impact on organ, eye and tissue donation and transplantation through contributions to medicine, the community, or public policy. Simply follow the instructions on the attached fact sheet. Nominations are due Wednesday, September 10.

If you are a sponsored rider, walker, or floragraph family, or if you are a traveling as a representative of an official partner, DO NOT order seats at this time. Sponsors will be sent a special order form to request their complimentary and supplemental seats for their representatives and sponsored participants.

While we have reserved one room per float rider, any additional rooms need to be reserved separately. A four-night minimum is required (In 12/29, Out 1/2).
