Guest guest
autoimmune system dysfunction, patients produce antibodies that attack patients brains and guts. That is what's happening right now in our kids who carry autism features. You ask me why they have auto immune system dysfunction problems, just imagine these kids genetically inherit weaker immune systems from parents and all that live virus from vaccines 3 or 4 shots at one visits and these live virus confues or over wear their immune system, so our kids produce a lot of anti bodies that attack their own brains and guts, imagine your brain is swollen like when your foot is swollen, how can their brains function or work right? Of course not, that's why they all carry autism features til now---loss of speech, repetitive behaviors, anxiety, tantrums, in guts, inflamamtion as well, so GI problem, daiherra, constipations you name it. Read the book" Changing course to Austim" written by Dr. Jepsen from Thoughtful House Autism Center in Austin TX, it explains very thoroughly. Vaccine schedule and live virus screw up our kids immune system, immune cells are confused and start to produce antibodies to attack our kids own brains and guts.... Guest guest
Hi, I am going to make an appointment with immunologist from our local medical center of university. I have been reading a lot of story about spiro successful cases. May I know what type of tests should we do to determine if my son needs this type of treatment? Guest guest
Hi can I ask what your neopeterin/biopterin results were, we had these done, but don’t know how to interpret them. Sounds very promising – you must be thrilled. Is Spirolactone a drug or a supplement? Guest guest
I think the reference range for neopeterin is under 180. The neopeterin level indicates virus and inflamation. So if your child is above the 180 then you want to lower neopeterin. To lower neopeterin you can use the prescription drug called spironolactone (be careful with spiro as it can cause constipation so we use oxypowder for constipation). If the neopeterin nuber is really high, like over 1,000 some DAN docs recommend doing a short course of steroids to bring down the inflamation quicker. You want the biopeterin to be twice as high as the neopeterin. If your biopeterin is lower than 400 you need to raise it. You can raise biopeterin by supplementing with BH4 which does not require a script. Guest guest
My sons neopterin was 815 with a reference range of 110-180 and his biopterin was 1312..... it doesn't give a reference range for that. While his ratio of biopterin/neopterin was not that great, his DAN told me that usually when they see a neopterin as high as my sons they consider short term treatment with steroids before they start spiro, but because my son was still generating biopterin on his own it wasn't necessary (Thank Goodness!!!). I guess they're used to seeing biopterin/neopterin ratios much, much lower when the neopterin is higher than a certain point. On a side note, I got my personal results back from France today and my neopterine is 427 with the same reference range and my biopterin is 227. Not sure what that means except that my number came in right below the pink on the chart and in the Virosis range. I also tested very high levels of lead, high levels of mercury and high levels of either arsenic, aluminum or PCB. Not sure what I'm going to do with these results except say I told you so to alot of people. lol Spironolactone is a prescription. My son takes 25mg daily and at some point we may have to up it to a higher dosage. From what I understand, preventing inflammation now prevents oxidative stress when he is older (which my sixteen year old has a very severe case of unfortunately). > >>>> > > > >>>> > > Rx's for inflammation include; Actos, Singulair and something > >> else > >>> > I can't remember. Guest guest
Thanks , this is really helpful, our neopterine is 317 and biopterin is 590 – its marked as Virosis, we have used BH4 in the past so maybe that has helped – also have just started child on Namenda, which I believe is effective by lowering inflammation – it does it by lowering excitoxins – I think – anyway what do you think would you add in spironolactone as well, or instead of? His ratio is 1.9 which is an average ratio - Thanks, I think the reference range for neopeterin is under 180. Guest guest
PRESCRIBED FOR: Spironolactone is used as a diuretic to remove the excess fluid caused by congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, and kidney disease. It can also be used to treat elevated blood pressure in combination with other drugs and in resistant cases of low potassium (hypokalemia). Spironolactone is also used to counteract the effects of excessive adrenal aldosterone production. Aldosterone overproduction can occur from a tumor in the adrenal gland, or when enlarged adrenal glands produce an excessive amount of aldosterone. Guest guest
There are more prescriptions out there than I can count that are prescribed very successfully for off label purposes. Just because spironolactone was not intended to be an anti inflammatory doesn't mean it is not useful as one. It has worked wonders for my child and many other children I personally know of. Actos is not an anti inflammatory either. Singulair is an asthma medication. A very good example of an off label use of a prescription drug would be the use of Topamax for migraines or Trileptal for mood disorders. My oldest child was unstable for years and Trileptal was the ONLY medication that helped him but I had to fight tooth and nail to get it approved by our insurance company because it is not an FDA approved medication for mood disorders and was not developed to treat bipolar/mood disorders. Yet it is fast becoming the drug of choice when it comes to mood stabilization. Topamax was developed as an Epilepsy medication, but as a migraine prevention medication it has greatly improved the quality of my life. Instead of spending days trying to deal with a migraine after I've developed one, I rarely get one because I have a prescription med that prevents them. My family would be in sad shape if we could only take medications for the condition they were developed for. > > > > > > Rx's for inflammation include; Actos, Singulair and something > else > > I can't remember.
