Guest guest
Hi Tracey, Thanks for the note. SLE is systemic lupus erythmatosous (sp?) better known as just lupus. Mine is the systemic kind in that it affects organs besides the skin. It is an autoimmune disease where the immune system kind of turns on itself. I have arthritis, pleurisy and neurological symptoms from the lupus. That's kind of it in a nutshell. has had the hypog. for a long time. Her last infusion was in 1992. I really wish we could do it again since it helped so much. I would watch her in the hospital and it was like her whole countenance changed in a course of several hours. She usually looks pale and tired, but after an infusion, her coloring is much better and she just looks, well, healthy. I really believe that following up on 's immune problem is the key to getting her better - if not well, then better. And we will take anything we can get! LOL! Take care...
