Guest guest
Hi Everyone, My son has prominent virchow-robin spaces as detected in the MRI. I've always known that my son is a viral kid, and he responded well at first to Valtrex, but we couldn't keep his yeast and bacteria under control even with rxs - so we had to stop. In researching this, I read that this could actually be infections and not spaces. If that is not true, at the very least, it makes a great little space to have an infection. Lots of information is given on menengitis in regards to these spaces. When I looked at the symptoms for menengitis, I saw that infants with it are very irritable, have high pitched crying, cries a lot, inability to feed and/or suck, and buldging fontanelle. My son had all of these things. In fact, he cried almost constantly and it took forever for his fontanelle to close. I wonder if he has some kind of chronic infection in his brain. In fact, I would bet on it. His brain seems to mis-fire often, and he is probably having seizures (undiagnosed, but has definitely had them). Has anyone else been diagnosed with these spaces? What can I do to kill these infections? Would HBOT be a good solution? I've always put this off because of the cost. But, I will do it if it will help him. Thanks for any advice. We don't see our DAN again until July. I'd like to go to him with lots of information on this. Jenn
Guest guest
- Have you had any testing on his titers? If you feel he is a viral child why not try some nat. antivirals and or virastat.-- In mb12 valtrex , " " wrote: > > Hi Everyone, > > My son has prominent virchow-robin spaces as detected in the MRI. Guest guest
I'm considering that, but I wonder if it will work directly in his brain. That's why I was also considering HBOT. We haven't tested titers - for some reason the DAN keeps pushing it off. It would be good to bring it up again in this light though. Thanks for the advice!
