Guest guest
Neelam- Would you mind sharing where you read about neem and garlic being toxic over a period? Thanks much! > > > I have been using fresh garlic everyday for yeast. We have been really struggling with yeast so far. Also I have been using Neem for a couple of months. Now I am reading that they both can be toxic after a certain while. Has anyone got experience with these herbs? I am giving him one clove of raw crushed garlic. I give him 250 mg of neem. > > > Thanks in advance. > > Neelam >
Guest guest
I don't know about garlic but on neem - back in India when they used it they would say you are not to use it for more than 7 days at a stretch. I would give it for 7 days then take a week off and so on. Gayatri > > > > > > I have been using fresh garlic everyday for yeast. We have been > really struggling with yeast so far. Guest guest
Thanks Gayatri. For DS, the yeast comes back up when I stop neem and do another natural anti-yeast herb. It doesn't seem like his yeast has developed resistance to neem. I should probably just take breaks from neem and do only YCK for a few days every so often. Have you ever tried a castor oil 'flush'? I can think of all kinds of issues, but I keep returning to getting the gunk out and really work on repopulating with the good stuff... Thanks in advance! > > > > > > > > > I have been using fresh garlic everyday for yeast. We have been > > really struggling with yeast so far. Also I have been using Neem > for a > > couple of months. Guest guest
Neelam I am unsure if resistance was the reason they said to stop taking it after 7 days, just that it wasn't good to keep taking it. There are a bunch of other anti-fungals around that might help. Have you tried caprylic acid? What is a castor oil flush? Guest guest
Castor oil flush for me is a teaspoon of castor oil couple of hours away from the neem. I have again read somewhere castor oil also it is toxic to little kids after few days. I have read somewhere the same thing about neem. Neem it said was good for people more then 14 years old one of the websites said. Neem works beautiful for ds also. He's been on it for couple of months. I will quit for now. I hesitate to quit it. I have seen a lot of social interest in ds after neem. DS had none. He's quite high functioning and behaves mostly very well. He developed imitation ater neem. Not so much talking social interactin, just imitation. Then I think of Valtrex for our kids. Our kids need it much more then the usually prescribed amount. And their's a lot of kids doing well on it. Guest guest
I thought castor oil was how people used to protect their kids from parasites and worms...! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I have been using fresh garlic everyday for yeast. Guest guest
I have used neem and it made a huge difference for me, I only had problems when I stopped it, a mistake I wont make again. I think it safe for up to 6 months I plan to look into this more. Actually I would think 6 months would take care of things pretty good, I quit after a month dn my symptoms came back in about 3 weeks, it took 2 weeks to be symptom free on Neem and my healthy diet.
