Guest guest
Hello-I too have had anxiety attacks. But they have become fewer and more mild as time goes on. The key is to do small gestures. Do little things and accept your fear/terror as it is. I do this by asking the four questions. I shouldn't be terrified became I should be terrified because I am. Once I said that, I started to cry. Then I let myself be terified. I went to my bedroom, closed the door and screamed into a pillow " I'm afraid " ! I let myself be what I am at the moment. This let out some of the terror and it also led me to other beliefs. I remembered how my mother was afraid as a child and how I tried to take care of her. I went over the 4 questions about her and realized that my whole life I have been trying to take care of my mother, knew I couldn't do it and felt terrified at the consequences. I have hit this feeling many times and each time I it brings up new shades of beliefs that I let go of. Most often the fear comes up when I am trying to do something that contradicts the belief. Every time I do something that shows I am not helpless, the feeling of fear and helplessness comes up. It's as if my body is now giving me perimission to let go of old feelings now that it is safe. I have had to forgive my mother for not being perfect, which allowed me to forgive myself for not being perfect, which has made life much easier. Good luck and try to go easy on yourself. The fact that you are feeling anxiety means that you have put yourself in a position to heal. The worst mistake you can make in this state is to make your presnet so difficult that you don't feel the anxiety. The GOOD NEWS is that it only takes a little improvement in your life for you to start healing. Good luck. Love Dale > > > Hello Everyone, > > > > I am new to the group, just wanted to say hi. There have been a couple of people doing work around such issues lately, and what they've shared might be helpful to you. I got my start with The Work by reading the book, Loving What Is, by Byron Kathleen (everyone calls her ). There's also a website that provides information about The Work, resources related to The Work, events around the US and other countries, and so forth. Finally, there are resources (worksheets in various formats, articles, etc.) in the Files section of this yahoogroup (http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Loving-what-is/files/). I hope some of this information is helpful to you. I'm glad you've joined us. Tom

Since you joined the group, how about checking out the book and/or website and trying inquiry with the Judge Your Neighbor Worksheet? Guest guest
Thanks for sharing your experiences. , were you placed on hormone medication like Synthroid after your lobectomy? In my case, the ultrasound revealed both a cyst and a solid mass. Although a fine needle biopsy was an option, I didn't think it would be the answer for me. I know the tissue sample is small because it is a fine needle and although the result could come back normal, the pathologist would not be able to say for certain that the solid mass is not cancerous. There may be cancerous cells on another side of the mass that were not part of the sample... I know the odds are low of it being cancerous, but with my strong family history of other cancers, I feel surgery is the best option. > > > Hi, > > > > I'm obviously not a doctor but I do suffer from exactly your same issues. > > I > > was wondering if they already did a biopsy on your mass. Guest guest
I have a strong family history of cancer, too, so I was worried just like you. Fortunately, my nodules were all benign. I did not have an fna either as my nodules were painful and I knew I wanted them out no matter what. I actually started Synthroid prior to surgery but the nodules kept growing. After the surgery, I just couldn't tolerate any thyroid hormones. I think I was in what they call " thyroid storm. " It took addressing my vitamin deficiencies (Vit B made my anxiety go away) and adrenal fatigue before I could tolerate any thryoid hormone. I am now on Armour.
