Guest guest
and Noble - Autistics are Boycotting You cbrown@... contactus@... Carolyn J. Brown Corporate Communications & Noble, Inc. Autism Speaks has thrice expressed the sentiment that autistic children should be drown. It is believed that many of the recent drowning deaths are due to the Autism Every Day video put out by Autism Speaks. (See below.) We urge and Noble to abandoned their affiliation with Autism Speaks and to sign the following petition: http://www.autism-hub.co.uk/autism-speaks-dont-speak-for-me/index.php And join the 1146 people and organizations that have signed on so far. 1) Teper Singer, Vice President of Communications of Autism Speaks said in a video: " I remember that was a scary moment for me when I realized I had sat in the car for about 15 minutes and actually contemplated putting Jody in the car and driving off the Washington Bridge. That would be preferable to having to put her in one of these schools. " The mother in question made this statement whilst her autistic daughter was in the room with her. She further added that the only reason she didn't kill her autistic child and herself was the thought of her non-disabled daughter. 2) Producer of the video Producer Thierry (who has since admitted to faking the degree of autism in the autistic in the video called this section 'gutsy and courageous' and added that: " If most mothers of autistic children look hard enough within themselves they will find that they have played out a similar scenario in their minds. If this is not your reality, then God bless you. " The scenario she speaks of is drowning their autistic child(ren). Slatkin is a board member of Autism Speaks: Some remarks by Harry and Slatkin, parents of , who is autistic, stood out to me: " At times, the pain has become almost unbearable. In a documentary entitled Autism: True Lives, Harry describes the very large pond next to their house in the Hamptons. We put locks on all the doors leading outside because we didn't want possibly going into the pond. But there were times when he stops, then talks through his tears you hoped he did, because you wouldn't want him to suffer like this all his life. " " Everyone urged the Slatkins to cut this from the documentary, says, but they left it in. Since then, we've spoken to many families who say, We all share that hidden, dark thought.
