Guest guest
My son is scheduled to have an EEG on Sunday. Any tips on preparing and getting him through the procedure are greatly appreciated. He does not tolerate hats/objects on his head and has limited speech - even more so over the last month, in fact he is now using only 1 word requests and articulation is poorer. It all started with increased ritualistic behaviors, increased need for control, lower threshold for frustration and messier while eating (previously he would wipe anything off his face). I originally thought it was seasonal/food allergies (gf/cf & biomed. Haven't changed any supps but did end 4 mos of valtrez (cognitive gains but didn't last). He is now experiencing head aches, crying spells (usually happy go lucky kid), poorer motor control, words even harder to understand, sometimes almost a whisper, irregular sleeping and has episodes where he is just staring, can't redirect, very sensitive to light and most recently drooling. Besides the EEG, is there anything else I should check? Thankfully, Sherry F.
