Guest guest
MDS does not fall under the covered, or non-covered category for an Allo. Per the Medicare guidelines, coverage for conditions other than these specifically designated as covered or noncovered are left to the individual intermediary’s discretion. Our facility has had luck getting paid for diagnosis’s that do not show up as covered or noncovered. It is my understanding that this is non covered DX for this procedure. Your input is appreciated. Guest guest
We also have been paid for this diagnosis. From what I was told by Medicare, if there is no LCD stating that it is non-covered it will be paid but possibly subject to review afterwards. We did not have a problem.
