Guest guest
If you want to get them ready for reading, I would work on phonemic awareness. This is the ability to recognize the sounds in words. There are phonemic awareness lessons that you can buy from the Haughton Learning Center. They do have a website: http://www.haughtonlearningcenter.com/products.html I recommend the following: Phonological Coding: Phonemic awareness and Phonological Coding: Word and Syllable Awareness Then I would start the book Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons or Reading Mastery I. Good luck. Rose At 04:53 PM 12/23/2002 +0000, you wrote: >Hi everyone, > >I was wondering if you all had some advice on how you teach your >PDD/ASD child pre-reading skills.
