CMS regulations regarding LVAD & Listing

OK all you Heart folks

out there.

Is there a CMS regulations

that indicates that a patient must be listed for heart translant prior

to an device implant (LVAD etc).

If so, please direct me

to the site.

If not, please indicate

so.

As far as I know there is no such reg. One reason being that the

VADs could also be bridge to recovery where the patient doesn't

necessarily have to be transplanted.
