Guest guest
Hi all. Well my son was taking Diflucan/Valtrex for a fairly short time. He started on Diflucan in February and was on it about 24 days, then took a 3 week break and started it again and I gave it to him again for another 28 days, sometimes skipping a day or two in between.. So the total number of days he got it adds up to 52 days.. And he was on the Valtrex for a total of 40 days. I have stopped giving him both and am trying some more natural treatments, but I am wondering if I need to do liver testing for him. I actually have the order from our DAN doctor to do the tests since I asked him to send it.. But he is really difficult when he has blood drawn.. probably not too surprising. lol Also the DAN dr said that diflucan was ok to use for 2 to 3 months at a time.. And he said that he has not seen elevated liver enzymes with it, but that it is a known side effect..So, I just wanted to get some other opinions on this.. Thanks all for your help! Guest guest
If you've stopped giving it then it's really unnecessary to test liver enzymes. *If* the liver enzymes did raise, the way to get them to go back to normal is to stop taking it so it really doesn't matter anymore. Save your money for a test that means something.CherylHi all. Well my son was taking Diflucan/Valtrex for a fairly short time.
