Guest guest
Robin, Medicare Part B pays @ 80%-pt is responsible for the 20% left plus calendar year ded. Part A pays according to DRG for inpt stays & the pt's responsibility depends on where he/she is in their benefit period as outlined here http://questions.medicare.gov/cgi-bin/medicare.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faq\ id=2100 (someone also posted this to the listserev last week in a different format that compared the '08 rates to the new '09 rates, if you still have that, Robin). Guest guest
Actually Part A covers the transplant hospital visit, covers the entire visit with the exception of the IP deductible $1024 for 2008; $1068 for 2009. Part B covers 80% for outpatient and physicians. From: TxFinancialCoordinators [mailto:TxFinancialCoordinators ] On Behalf Of Antoine, Beverly A. Guest guest
Hi Robin, The “joke” is “Dirty Rotten Government”, but it is either Diagnostic Related Group or Diagnosis Related Group”, it is the inpatient payment system that Medicare has in place. The lump sum payment that is paid for inpatient hospital services. Hope this helps, Thanks, Bill From: TxFinancialCoordinators [mailto:TxFinancialCoordinators ] On Behalf Of DiSanto, Robin Sent: Friday, October 31, 2008 9:10 AM To: 'TxFinancialCoordinators ' Subject: RE: Re: how much Medicare pays for transplant recipient what does DRG stand for?
