May be connected to having had a course of 3 inj. for Hep.B vaccination as well as being on HRT and thyroxine.Who knows. Have stopped the HRT and refused colichine.Blood tests are wierd.Anyone else with swellings and no "bruising"?Would like some feed back, as my GP is not very investigative or knowledgeable. I never had any bruising with mine. Mine would start as small painful bright red lumps. Over the course of a few days, the lump would spread out, with a larger area inflamed. It would spread out, and out, then finally start fading away. It never looked bruised. My EN came concurrent with Rheumatoid Arthritis, but it was such a long time ago , 1970s, that while doctors were seeing a lot of it from people like me who had had a very bad case of Asian flu, they had no idea what it was. Back then, my RA went into remission and didn't come back to stay until 1997, when the EN came back too. But each time the RA was treated, the EN went away, so I consider myself healed or at least in remission from the EN. lie, RA since 1997 EN in remission with treatment of RA
