Guest guest
Greetings All, When an EGHP is primary and Medicare is 2nd and the patient gets all his prescriptions through the EGHP will Medicare pay anything on the copays or deductibles through Part B? We may have talked about this before but I can't remember. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!! Guest guest
If the pharmacy accepts Medicare B, then the copays should be covered by Medicare B. The patient has to give the Medicare B info to the pharmacist who will also want the transplant date etc. Daryl Battin, LICSW Financial Coordinator/Social Worker Lahey Clinic Kidney Transplant 41 Mall Road, Burlington, MA 01805 Ph: /FAX: Page: From: TxFinancialCoordinators [mailto:TxFinancialCoordinators ] On Behalf Of Dana T Sent: Thursday, December 04, 2008 2:52 PM To: TxFinancialCoordinators Subject: drug coverage Greetings All, When an EGHP is primary and Medicare is 2nd and the patient gets all his prescriptions through the EGHP will Medicare pay anything on the copays or deductibles through Part B? Guest guest
And pharmacist may also contact you to verify that patient had Medicare at the time of the transplant (even if just had A at time of transplant and B active later).
