Guest guest
Hi Di, In our district, if a child qualifies with a delay in more than one area, for instance when first evaluated by the school district my son had a 25% delay in language and in pre-writing, then they qualify for all day preschool (school hours) starting at 3. So my son is enrolled in the school district in a 3 and 4 year old classroom. There are 14 kids in his class and three teachers, and then the behavioralists who come in for the kids who qualify for that therapy and to help out in general, and volunteers from the state college who are working on their degrees at the communications dept (specializing in autism). 6 of the kids have IEP's and 8 are self pay. The self pay kids participate in the county's voluntary pre-k 4 program. It is a phenomenal program, although I have to say it would be nice if my son qualified for anything other than speech. His articulation is in the 1st percentile (apraxia) and I can't even get him OT for oral motor, OR get oral motor from the speech therapist at the school. His language has improved so much that I'm afraid their going to cut his speech sessions next year even though his articulation is still so terrible. Anyway, that's what pre-k 3 is. > > > > > > > > > > We have made gains against clostridia, yeast issues are > > > improving, and > > > > > yes, we are seeing some gains in language, but why is it all > so > > > > > achingly slow...Matt still only wants chicken, egg yolk > > > smoothies, and > > > > > asks for raw carrots every day...he also remains TERRIBLY > > > constipated. > > > > > Nothing has worked in that regard... > > > > > > > > > > Stan's son got better so quickly...what am I doing wrong.
