Guest guest
I & #39;ve done the same and had similar situations during my pregnancy. I had a 1.5 yr old and my husband was deployed during my pregnancy and during his birth. I was all alone for 7 months. We also had a cat. I had a miscarriage a few weeks before getting pregnant again. I was 38 yrs old. I too review all of this in my brain. However, I know other women have had it worst and less care and have perfectly normal babies. I was told it was environmental. I am coming to terms with it, but we do need to find out as much as possible. Comparing pregnancies might get us close. Julissa
Guest guest
I had severe vomiting and diarrhea and dehydration in the second week. I did not even know I was pregnant at the time. You can not allow those thoughts to take over. They are just not helpful. You can't change the circumstance you can only focus on one day at a time forward. Diane Sent from Samsung Conquer™ 4G
Guest guest
I agree, Dianne. Whenever I let the WHY and What IFs invade my thoughts it is a never ending circular frustrating painful cycle. Destructive. It's been over 10 years, I need to concentrate on creating a beautiful life for us. We are more than PMG. Guest guest
I have done the exact same thing over and over! We are still human! I have decided to let go and let God. It's the only way I can stop blaming myself it anyone else and just enjoy my precious gift! (((hugs))) to you ~Jodi mom to Emmalee 3 > So I think I will forever be going crazy about this in the back of my mind. I've decided to put it back there and look forward , not back because of course I can not change things now. My son has bilateral perisylvia PMG. He also has M-cm and pulmonary hypertension. > > But the items I keep going back to are these: > > - I had a very back cold/flu within the first 6 weeks and had a few bad colds afterwards > > - I did not drink enough water, was quite parched many nights waking up with a dry mouth needing a drink (this is so upsetting because it was under my control) > > - When I was so ill I took a very warm bath one time. It sounds crazy but I keep going back to it in my mind. It was within those first 6 weeks. > > - I conceived via inter uterine insemination IUI which included giving myself shots for 5 days before the insemination > > - I have herpes and have had it for over 20 years > > - I was so stressed about things at the beginning and didn't sleep much due to the stress and my 2 year old at the time > > - I was so nauseous the first 4 months and stopped being consistant about taking my prenatals with DHA > > - I was 41 when i became pregnant > > I'd imagine many Moms of children with special needs go trough this very same process. Its totally expected but it can drive us crazy. As I said, it's in the back of my mind, but will always be there. No matter how many docs say it wasn't something I did. > > The surveys are interesting though as if we ever did link something we can share it with other Moms to be so they are aware. > > But the most important thing to me is to now take charge of my son's care and do all I care for him the very best I can. To those who put this group and the website together, thank you. We need a place to not feel so alone. > > Until later, > Shari Abercrombie > >
