If the juicer is for health purposes the number one juicer would be a

Norwalk. Secondly would be a Green Star or Green Power (the name has

changed and I am not certain whether it is " power " or " star " . I have

also seen a Champion Juicer used in combination with a press. If you

look up the Gerson Institute you will find a lot of information on the

use of a juicer for health. Juicing is a mainstay in their therapy.

Jeff is correct. I have done countless hours of research on juicers

and it seems that the Norwalk is #1 with the Champion as a

grinder/juice press combo coming in at a close 2nd. Especially for

cancer, I believe a juice press is recommended. I just bought a

Norwalk myself and I have a K & K juice press that I'm looking to sell.

Goodluck.

I just thought of something else regarding juicers/juice presses and

your uncle. I have been making pomegranite juice VERY easily in my

norwalk juice press. You don't have to grind them at all just press

and you get all the juice out. I'm sure you could do the same thing

with a K & K or Welles juice press. I seem to remember reading that

pomegranite juice is especially good for prostate cancer.

I'll be another to chime in on the juicer vote. I have used a Champion and an

Omega as well

as an Acme centrifugal. I am now 100% devoted to my Norwalk and use it to press

fruit and

vegetable juices every day. It even travels with me and makes raw almond butter.

As a less

expensive backup my choice would be a GreenStar. Ecopolitan Restaurant has

GreenStars

available on the shelf for you to look at (they're at 24th and Lyndale in

Minneapolis)
